The Journal of Asian Medical Students’ Association (JAMSA) continuously invites medical students, early-career researchers, and clinicians worldwide to join our esteemed pool of Peer Reviewers. By joining our reviewer database, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the scientific rigor and quality of our upcoming publications across various medical disciplines.

Accepted Manuscript Types Reviewers will evaluate original, unpublished manuscripts across the following categories:

  • Original Research Articles

  • Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses

  • Narrative / Literature Reviews

  • Case Reports and Case Series

  • Commentary or Perspective Articles

  • Letters to the Editor

 

Eligibility Criteria
We welcome applications from postgraduate students, residents, junior doctors, and senior medical students with demonstrated expertise in their respective medical fields.

  • Mandatory Requirement: Candidates must possess a proven track record of scientific publication, demonstrated by at least one peer-reviewed article with a registered and valid Digital Object Identifier (DOI).

  • Preferred Qualifications: A robust publication history and active involvement in academic research or interdisciplinary medical fields are highly advantageous.

 

Reviewer Responsibilities & Ethics
When a manuscript matching your expertise is submitted, you may be invited to critically appraise it. Reviewers must strictly adhere to the following principles:

  • Commitment to Timeliness: Comprehensive evaluations must be submitted within 14–21 days of accepting an assignment.

  • Strict Confidentiality: All manuscripts are privileged documents. Sharing or misappropriating unpublished data is expressly prohibited.

  • Conflict of Interest (COI): Reviewers must declare any perceived or actual conflicts of interest prior to accepting an assignment.

  • Dual Roles: Reviewers are encouraged to submit their own manuscripts to JAMSA; stringent COI protocols will ensure they are completely recused from the editorial process of their own submissions.

  • Peer Nomination: Nominate qualified mentors or colleagues by providing their CV and active contact information. (Ensure explicit consent has been obtained from the nominee prior to submission).
